Remodel Reminders

A few things to keep in mind before, during, and after your pool remodeling project.

Things to Remember Before Your Remodel

A little preparation goes a long way. Keep these in mind as you plan your tile or deck remodeling project.

Plan for Pool Downtime

Most remodeling projects require draining the pool. Plan for 1–2 weeks without pool access depending on the scope of work.

Clear the Pool Area

Remove furniture, potted plants, and any items near the pool deck before work begins to protect them and give our crew room to work.

New Surfaces Need a Cure Period

Curing period typically lasts 30 days. There should be no over chlorinating, heating, or salt added during this period.

Water Chemistry After Refill

After refilling, water chemistry must be carefully balanced for the first 30 days to protect your new surface. We offer startup service to handle this for you.

Permits May Be Required

Some deck and structural work requires a permit from your city or HOA. We'll let you know upfront if your project needs one.

Get Everything in Writing

Before work begins, make sure you have a written scope of work, timeline, and payment schedule. We provide a detailed proposal for every project.
